SiC is used in photovoltaic system components like microinverters and DC/DC converters, improving inverter power density and efficiency, reducing energy loss, and minimizing system weight and volume, thus supporting the adoption of solar energy. The photovoltaics+ESS sector demonstrates robust growth, with CAGRs of 39.0% from 2020 to 2024 and 30.6% from 2025 to 2029. Driven by the need for more efficient and reliable energy storage solutions to complement the fluctuating nature of solar power generation, the penetration rate of SiC power semiconductor devices in the photovoltaics+ESS sector has been gradually increasing, starting from 9.7% in 2024 to 19.4% by 2029.
